In November, leaders from Fulton County, Georgia and the City of Roswell joined U.S. Ambassador Nicholas Merrick for a formal dinner hosted by PBS GROUP at the historic Lobkowicz Palace in Prague. The evening brought together senior Czech government officials, including representatives from the Ministries of Industry & Trade, Defense, and Foreign Affairs, along with members of Georgia’s delegation.
The purpose of the visit was to deepen cooperation between Georgia’s growing defense manufacturing ecosystem and the Czech Republic’s long-standing leadership in aerospace engineering. Conversations throughout the evening highlighted opportunities for continued collaboration in propulsion technology, workforce development, and transatlantic supply chain resilience.
The Georgia delegation included Fulton County Chairman Robb Pitts, Fulton County Commissioner Bridget Thorne, and Roswell City Council Member Christine Hall. Their presence underscored strong regional support for PBS Aerospace’s expansion in the United States and the continued growth of high-skilled manufacturing in Roswell, Georgia.
Following the dinner, the delegation traveled to the PBS GROUP manufacturing campus in Velka Bites for a firsthand look at the company’s precision engineering and turbine production processes. The visit provided U.S. officials with an in-depth view of PBS GROUP’s capabilities and the technical foundation supporting PBS Aerospace’s growth in the American market.
The trip marked an important step in strengthening ties between the United States and the Czech Republic. With PBS Aerospace’s recent establishment of a U.S. headquarters and manufacturing facility in Georgia, these partnerships continue to build momentum for innovation, shared economic opportunity, and enhanced transatlantic security.
