Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Procurement Manager to join our team in the aerospace industry, focusing on turbojet engine manufacturing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identification, sourcing, and procurement responsibilities to ensure on time delivery of components required for manufacture and assembly of our products. This role requires a strong technical background, exceptional critical thinking skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or 10+ years of applicable professional experience in procurement.
- 7+ years of procurement experience in an aerospace or turbine/engine manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with business processes related to sourcing and purchase order management.
- Direct experience with ERP systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Initiative-taker with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced changing environment.
- Due to the nature of PBS Aerospace’s business as a defense contractor, this position is limited to U.S. citizens, as defined under applicable federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Manage and lead team of Buyers to drive on-time delivery, cost reduction, and supplier management.
- Sourcing and Supplier Identification: Responsible for identification of new suppliers and the management and completion of supplier quotations. Responsible for supplier quotation cost analysis (cost, lead time, NRE) and making supplier recommendations.
- Purchase Order Management: Responsible for placement and management of all purchase orders. Maintain delivery dates and monitor supplier performance.
- Cost Reduction: Identify and analyze cost reduction opportunities within existing supply base and identify new suppliers for quality, lead time, and cost reduction opportunities.
- Supplier Optimization: Identify opportunities to strategically consolidate volume by identifying new and existing suppliers who manufacture similar components or utilize similar production processes.
- Dual Sourcing: Reduce single/sole source of critical engine components.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including procurement, engineering, and manufacturing, to address quality concerns and drive improvements.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of sourcing and procurement processes.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that suppliers adhere to all relevant regulatory and safety requirements within the aerospace industry.
